The Portland Parks Division manages a parks system that includes over 66 parks and playgrounds, 7.5 miles of multi-use trails, 10 community gardens, 2 stadiums, 16 cemeteries and dozens of athletic fields and courts, all spread across 1,000+ acres of land. We aim to provide outdoor recreational opportunities for everyone, during all four seasons of the year: from the Portland Skatepark, to 4 splash pads and wading pools, 2 dog parks, 4 maintained ice skating ponds, a sledding hill and miles of groomed XC ski tracks. We are also stewards an urban forest of 20,000 inventoried trees, and maintains flowerbeds, meadows, and natural open spaces throughout the city. Our Park Rangers make sure our parks are safe for all, and our hard working maintenance crews keep our parks beautiful, clean and safe throughout the year. Parks improve our quality of life, increase property values, and contribute to the economic engine of Portland. They are a place for people to come together and create community--whether you are playing an
after-work softball game, growing your first tomato, or taking a hike along a babbling brook. These parks are your parks!
