About the Portland Youth Council

The Portland Youth Council (PYC) was established in 2019 to connect, engage, and empower Portland's diverse youth population through government and civic participation.

Its 13 members - two from each of Portland's five council districts, as well as three at-large members - develop shared civic priorities, collaborate with and learn from City experts to address issues, and attend bi-monthly Council meetings to learn about and weigh in on policy decisions.
